Depression Playlist

As many of you know I am Bipolar II.

As of late I have been battling a bout of depression.

That combined with my new job working for Native Floral is why I haven't posted anything new for a while.

But fear not! I'm posting something now!

Because of the depression, I haven't really felt like drawing at all lately. I did draw an illustration for the cover for my kung fu notebook.

I'll post it on here if you guys want to see it.

When most people are feeling down, they sometimes like to listen to sad music. It's like the sound track to their sappy little lives, and it makes them feel better.

When you have depression they tell you not to do that because it can actually make you feel worse.

Especially when some scum-bag blogger describes it as 'the sound track to your sappy little life'

Oh well.

I don't listen to this sound advice though.

Why?

Because I do whatever the heck I want that's why.

Anyways, I thought you guys might like to hear the sound track to my depression, and the reasons why I picked each track.

  1. 'Hurt' by Johnny Cash. Why? Read the title of the song again.
  2. 'Heartbreaker' by P!nk. Why? The chorus is "I won't be leaving here alive"
  3. 'Delia's gone' by Johnny Cash. Why? This song's about killing people.
  4. 'Tourniquet' By Evanescence. Why? Two reasons: A) This song is about suicide. B) It's an Evanescence song. ALL of their songs are sad.
  5. 'Marry the night' by Lady gaga. Why? This song is kind of dark. Also I just like it.
  6. 'Highwayman' by The Highwaymen Why? This song is about dying. It's also about reincarnation, but I ignore that part.
  7. 'My immortal' by Evanescence. Why? Remember reason B from two songs ago?
Ok, so it's not very long.
I mostly just replay the same song over and over.

I'll have a comic for you soon. I've been super busy at work due to the holidays.

Drink of the month!

This month's drink is one of my very favorites.

An ice-cold beer.

Best part? You can have it in only two steps!!

Step one: Buy a beer you like, and put your beer in a fridge/cooler.

Step two: Enjoy your beer.

Easy right?
Sorry guys, I've been super busy this month and haven't had time to make up a new drink.
But beer is a classic. It's the oldest alcoholic beverage.

Another interesting fact?
In the middle ages in Europe people drank beer instead of water because the water was so filthy. The alcohol in the beer killed the bacteria in the water that would make people sick.

Here's another;
During the rise of Christianity the best place to get your beer was from monks! This is because monasteries were some of the first places where beer was brewed as a trade.

Last one I promise!
It tastes awesome! Ok, not all beer tastes good (I've had some pretty nasty beer), but nothing beats a tall  glass of Blue Moon!

I have to get back to my crafts now. I've been super swamped getting ready for this craft show I'm going to be in this Saturday at my church.

Hopefully I'll get some business  cards made before then!

Lions

I love lions!
They are some of my favorite animals in the entire world!
If you follow my Twitter, then you know that I've been jonesing to draw some lions.
If you don't follow my twitter, well I've been jonesing to draw some lions.

You may or may not know this about me, but I volunteer at the zoo here in Phoenix.

BEST. JOB. EVER.

I also try to donate to conservation efforts whenever I can, especially those involving big cats.
Lucky them I guess. They get my meager unemployed artists money. In other words, I can't give much.
But I try just the same, as it would be a tragedy to lose them.

On a happier note, here's this months comic:

If your interested in learning more about big cats, or want to help save them, here are some links:

Cause an Uproar- Great way to help

Little Kitties for Big Cats-Super cute charity

Phoenix Zoo-The zoo's website.

Those are just three of my favorites. Go check them out!
